Saying it With Music: A New Poem That Captures Love’s Deepest Longing!

Saying it With Music

Saying it With Music
Say it With Music
It’s not that I’m too shy
To say it to you.
It’s not that too chicken
To approach you.

It’s just that I can’t find
The right words,
So I turn to music
To say it for me.

I sent you
Maxi Priest and Shabby Ranks
House Call” to let you know
I can see through your façade.

I played Tuff Gong’s
Turn your Lights Down Low
Because I want you to know
That I have those slow and
Romantic ways.

I’m sending you Beres Hammond’s
Angel Eyes
Because I want you to know
I am listening to your
Nonverbal communication.

You see, I’m not too shy
To say how I feel about you.

It’s not that I’m not man enough
To approach you,

I just don’t possess the ideal
Word combinations

To say exactly how I feel about you
So I have to use music
To say it clear.

So when you listen to Dennis Brown’s
Love Has Found Its Way
Know it's me speaking to you.

And

When I send you Boris Gardiner’s
I Want To Wake Up With You
He is speaking of my wishful thoughts
As I fall asleep with you
On my mind.

So when you receive
These musical selections
From me, they are my surrogates,
Saying exactly
What I want to say to you.

This is my curated musical playlist
Just for you.
