Poems About a Mother’s Love

There is nothing more beautiful than the love between a mother and her daughter. It is a bond that is unbreakable and everlasting. It is a love that is filled with warmth, compassion, and understanding. It is a love that knows no bounds.

A mother’s love for her daughter is truly a special thing. It is a love that is pure and true. It is a love that is never-ending.

This collection of poems was inspired by a new mother who holds a special place in my heart. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them.

A mother’s love for her daughter is unending and ever-present. It is a force that cannot be denied or ignored. It is the very essence of who a mother is.

A mother’s love is all-consuming, all-encompassing, and completely unconditional. It is a love that knows no bounds.

A New Born Baby Girl

Baby girl,
You will soon realise
There is nothing quite like
Your mother's love.

It’s an unbreakable bond,
That’s unyielding and unconditional.

Her love for you knows no bounds
And it knows no limits.

Her love for you is strong as steel
Yet gentle as a whisper.

Her love for you is fierce and gentle,
But it's also powerful and tender.
Her love is the kind that will
Always be there for you,
No matter what.

Her Loving Arms

I see the way
She cradles you
With arms filled with tender love.

I see the way
She looks at you
With a wealth of
Love and affection flowing naturally.

Autumn, she loves you
Beyond measure.

When she speaks about you,
I can hear the pride in her words
And the excitement that comes
From knowing she is your mother.

This I Know

I don’t know
How challenging motherhood
Is going to be for you,
Daily.

But this much I know,
You will handle it with
Motherly love and understanding,

After all, you were raised
By an amazing mother.

I don’t know
How many times your daughter
Will test your faith-and she will!
(just like you tested your mother’s)

But this I know,
Whatever she does you will
Scold her with the kind of love
That lets her know
She will always be loved
Despite the situation,

After all, you were scolded
Umpteen times
By a wonderful mother.

I don’t know
How many times
You will lose your smile
Just because you are a mother,
And you will.

But this much I know,
You will find it again
And there will always be
More reasons to smile than frown,
Just because you are the mother
Of an exceptional daughter.

You’re the First (for Autumn Griffin)

Autumn, you’re the first
For a reason.

You’re our blessing,
Our pride and joy,
Our source of inspiration,
Excitement and motivation,

You’re the first for a reason.

You are
A name changer,
A game-changer,
And a world changer.

You are the first for a reason.

We welcome you with
Hearts of love and unspeakable joy,

We will be here to help and guide
When needed-welcome
To your extended family.

Autumn,
You’re our blessing.

She Stole My Heart (just like you)

I was overjoyed
When I got the news,
I smiled so much my cheeks hurt.

I fell in love
With her even before
She was born.

I was excited
To know her name,
I counted the days,
Just like you did.
I waited with excitement.

And when I saw her
For the first time
She stole my heart-
Just like you did.

Now she has joined you
In that special place in my heart
That is reserved
For only you-

Signed:
Always with love,
Your Daddy.

A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love is one of the most powerful emotions in the world. It is a force that can overcome any obstacle and Triumph in the end.

A mother’s love knows no bounds, and will always be there for her children, no matter what. These poems capture the essence of a mother’s love and its unending strength.

Mother

You came into her life
And you changed her name-
She is now called
A mother.

You came into her life
And taught her
What it truly means
To be a mother
And love like a mother.

You came into her life
And she is blooming differently
Now that she is a mother-
Your mother.

Hush Little Baby

Hush, little baby,
Don’t you cry
Your mommy will always
Be by your side,

And
When she cannot be by your side,
She will teach you
All you need to know
To take each stride confidently.

Hush, little baby,
Don’t you worry
Your mommy will be there
In a hurry.

Adjusting to Motherhood

I sent her a message
Today that stated:

I am just checking in
On my two loves.

She replied with a smiley face
Emoji, saying:

Papa, we’re good.
I just need her to learn
The difference between
Day and night because
She thinks her night watch shift
Starts at midnight.

You're starting to lose sleep
At nights?
Welcome to motherhood 101.

You Could’ve (for Baby J)

When motherhood called
You could’ve run away
Like so many others,
But you didn’t.

You could’ve found
A plethora of reasons not to,
But you didn’t.

You could’ve been selfish about it,
But you didn’t.

You could’ve given in
To the pressures of
A judgemental society
And critics who love to cast stones,
But you didn’t.

You could’ve been a girl about it
But instead, you choose to be
A woman.

You choose to see it
As a blessing and for that
I am proud of you-

signed:
Always with love,
Your father.

Mama Says

Mama says,
It won’t always
Be smiles and laughter
There will be challenging days,

But you got this.

Mama says,
There will be times when
You will want to run and hide
And feel like you will
Lose your mind,

But you got this.

Mama says,
There will be times when
You with cry
And don’t know why,

But you got this.

There will be days
When your hair will look shabby,
Your feet will desert you
And sleep will taunt you,

But you got this.

Mama says,
On days like these
You do it because you’re
A mother.

Always a Mother

No one or nothing can change
The new name she has given you,

From today onwards
You will always be
A mother-
Her mother.
